Bookmarks The new Need for Speed’s aesthetic will reportedly have ‘anime elements’

Journalist Jeff Grubb claims the next Need for Speed title is set in Chicago-inspired Lake Shore City, and will feature "anime elements" with photorealistic visuals.

In a recent episode of his Giant Bomb show GrubbSnax, Grubb said that the next Need for Speed game will bring back the Autolog, which is an in-game hub for multiplayer content that’s been used in several Need for Speed games in the past. Customization of vehicles and different components will also return.

Grubb said:
"It’s going to be photo-realistic, but it’s going to have on top of that, anime elements,
You know when you see a car commercial or something like that and the car’s driving around, but then cartoons flames and stuff are flying off it? That’s the kind of the aesthetic that they seem to be going for."

If you don't know what exactly that mean, you can see the image blow which is a screenshot from leaked Need For Speed video which we saw it 2 years ago.
EA announced in February 2020 that it had handed Need for Speed development duties back to Criterion Games as it planned to restructure Ghost Games, which made the last four entries in the racing series
